This agreement establishes a clear, shared understanding of the well-being coaching relationship.

It outlines the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of both the client and the coach, creating a foundation of trust, accountability, and mutual respect. The purpose of this agreement is to support a safe, collaborative space where meaningful and sustainable change can occur.

How it works

As the client, you affirm your readiness to invest time and effort into your well-being and acknowledge that lasting change comes from your own choices and actions. You commit to active participation, honest communication, and respect for the coaching process, while understanding that setbacks are a normal and valuable part of growth. You also recognize the boundaries of coaching, including confidentiality and the distinction between coaching and counseling.

As the coach, the role is to guide and support—not direct or prescribe. The coach commits to listening without judgment, providing honest and constructive feedback, asking thoughtful questions, and helping you uncover your own solutions. The coach will encourage realistic goal-setting, support confidence-building, and offer referrals when topics arise outside the scope of coaching practice.

Together, this agreement creates clarity and alignment from the start. By defining expectations on both sides, it helps ensure that the coaching relationship remains focused, ethical, and effective—allowing both client and coach to work together toward meaningful improvements in overall well-being.
